The 2017 Orinda Czech Festival is just 3 weeks away.
We hope you join us for 3 days of festivities.

Ever wondered what it would be like to own four castles or serve as an Ambassador to the U.N.? Then come to Friday’s Gala Dinner. Tickets are now available and selling fast, be sure to reserve your seat today.

Like the idea of a day of fun in the sun and then a movie under the stars?
Then join our family-friendly day at the park, community center, and library on Saturday. Lively musicians and dancers will entertain the crowd throughout the day, whimsical marionette performances and a Czech-themed story time will delight the young, while vendors will tempt all with everything from Czech folk art, crafts, and foot bikes, to mouth-watering “trdlo” chimney cakes and other Czech delicacies. When the sun goes down, we’ll enjoy “Amadeus”. Come along to Saturday’s Czech Festival in the Park & Outdoor Movie.

If your idea of Czech heaven is listening to your favorite Czech classical pieces, then join us for a concert on Sunday afternoon.

No matter what your interests are, we hope to see you the last weekend of the month in Orinda, the Czech heart of California!

Tickets for Saturday festivities are available on Eventbrite

About Orinda/Tabor Sister City Foundation

In 1997, the cities of Orinda, California, and Tabor, in the Czech Republic, honored the legacy conceived and initiated by President Dwight D. Eisenhower, by becoming “Sister Cities.”  The Sister City program encourages international friendship, communication, and understanding between cultures.  And since its establishment, the Orinda/Tabor Sister City Foundation, along with Orinda Lions Club and Rotary International, has sent educators to Tabor to teach English, sponsored fellowships for physicians from Tabor, and has sponsored a Czech visiting student at Miramonte High School each fall semester for the past 16 years.
